Siamak holds a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a focus on precise orbit determination. He has supported several NASA missions in the past, including the OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission. Prior to Kayhan, Siamak was Chief Scientist at SpaceNav LLC., where he led software developments projects focusing on spaceflight operations and collision risk assessment. He is Principal Investigator (PI) on NASA Tipping Point grant that was recently awarded to Blue Canyon Technologies for the development of autonomous on-board navigation software for SmallSats and CubeSats.
