Mark Loya serves as the Superintendent of Human Resource Services, People & Culture at Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board since August 2022. Additionally, Mark has been a Course Instructor at York University since August 2016, where Mark designed and continues to deliver a course focused on leadership in unionized environments for public school board administrators. Previously, Mark held the position of Superintendent of Business, Human Resource Services, and Chief Negotiator at York Region District School Board from September 2018 to August 2022, and served in various roles within the Durham District School Board, including Manager of Employee Relations & Legal Services. Mark began professional training in law at Hicks Morley, where early experiences as a student-at-law and conference services assistant fostered a passion for human resources advocacy. Mark is also the former owner and president of Loya United Management & Marketing. Mark holds multiple degrees, including an LLB from the University of Windsor and a BA from York University.
