Christine Shen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Christine started their career at Cornell University as a Developer in Training for Cornell App Development, where they gained experience in iOS development. Christine also worked as a Videographer and Video Editor for Slope Media Group, where they were involved in all aspects of video production.
Christine then interned as a Software Engineer at Labcyte Inc., where they created a web application for diagnostic tests using Node.js. Christine also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Target, where they contributed to the development of a scalable RESTful API and implemented Slack notifications for real-time updates.
At Cornell University ILR School, Christine served as a Classroom Technologist, assisting professors in setting up tech tools during lectures and coordinating teleconferences. Christine was also involved in the Cornell European Business Society as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, playing a key role in club recruitment and creating a market plan for a local bar.
Christine's professional experience also includes roles at Capital One, where they worked as an Associate and Senior Associate Software Engineer, focusing on developing and testing financial models using Java Springboot, Angular, and AWS. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Cornell University College of Engineering, providing support to struggling students and assisting with grading.
Currently, Christine is working as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Kaveat, a position they began in 2022. Christine is responsible for leading the technology strategy and development at the company.
