Aidas Malakauskas is the Head of Transformation and Innovation at Swedbank since June 2019, overseeing corporate financing innovations and leading organization-wide improvements in corporate financing products and processes. Notable achievements include receiving the Employee of the Year award in 2021. Aidas is also a researcher at Kaunas University of Technology, focusing on pension fund regulation and sustainable investments. Previous roles at Swedbank include Area Manager in Financing Sales Support, Analyst in Corporate Offering and Strategies, and Account Manager in Client Clearing. Aidas holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford, a Master’s degree in Financial Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from ISM University of Management and Economics, along with various educational accolades.
