Normand is a graduate of Sherbrooke University (BA Business administration – major Accounting). Following his graduation and internship, he obtained the CPA-CA designation.
Normand’s career was spent in senior finance and controllership positions with major national and international corporations.
In parallel to his business career, he was involved with the Sea cadet program of Canada as an officer, commanding officers, senior instructor at the officer’s school and Cadet Instructor Cadre Branch advisor. During those years with the cadet program, he became a qualified instructor in Situational leadership (Ken Blanchard).
Normand was the Chief Financial Officer of Katimavik from 2010-2012. He had the difficult task of winding down the federally-funded program pursuant to the Harper government’s decision in March 2012. However, in doing so he always kept the faith and ensured the program would survive and would be in a quick restart mode. He is now thrilled to be able to contribute to the future of the organisation.
