Ton Van Weel currently serves as Bestuurder at KANVAZ woonmaatschappij since July 2023 and has held the position of Stafmedewerker in the Dienst Curriculum & vorming at Katholiek Onderwijs Vlaanderen since October 2006. Previously, Ton Van Weel was Bestuurder and a member of the directiecomité at Diest Uitbreiding from May 2021 to June 2023, and a member of the Bijzonder Comité voor de Sociale Dienst at Stad Diest from January 2019 to April 2021. Additional roles include editorial member of the TH&MA Hoger Onderwijs at Instondo from October 2007 to June 2019 and involvement with various student organizations and councils from 2000 to 2005. Ton Van Weel holds a PhD in Gedrags-, management- en sociale wetenschappen from the University of Twente, a Bachelor/Master in TEW/Handelswetenschappen from Odisee, a Licentiaat in Kerkelijk Recht from KU Leuven, and a Master in Sociaal-culturele bestudering van de godsdienst from the University of Amsterdam.
