Carolina Pepe has a wealth of work experience. Carolina began their career in 2008 as an Undergraduated Teaching Assistant at the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, UBA. In 2009, they became a Posdoctoral Scholar and PhD student at the CONICET - Instituto Argentino de Radioastronomía (Prov. de Bs. As.), where they studied relativistic processes around compact objects and modeled the dynamics of several fluids in presence of the gravitational field of a black hole and the host stellar system. In 2011, they returned to the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, UBA as a Graduated Teaching Assistant and Assistant Professor. In 2016, they joined CRISIL Global Research & Analytics as a Senior Quantitative Analyst and Quantitative Analyst, where they validated financial models for Tier 1 U. S. banks, conducted statistical testing of the hypothesis, and presented results weekly to the client. In 2018, they joined Prosegur as a Data Scientist, where they designed, implemented, and maintained Advanced Analytics models, conducted data sanity checks, and met with stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions. From August 2021, they also incorporated Management duties such as project planning and task assignment for a team of 4 people. Finally, in 2022, they joined Karvi as the Head of Data and Head of Data Science.

Carolina Pepe obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics - Ciencias físicas from the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales - Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2014, after completing their M.Sc. - Licenciatura in Physics, Ciencias físicas in 2009. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Applied Machine Learning in Python from the University of Michigan.
