Fred Chen has over 19 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Fred is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at KargoCard since November 2020. Prior to this, Fred worked as an Entrepreneur at DT K12 PT starting from July 2018. From November 2016 to June 2018, they were a Staff Product Expert at Alibaba.com. Fred also held the position of VP of Product Management at KargoCard from August 2014 to November 2016, where they played a key role in the company's prepaid gift card and digital payment services. Before that, they worked as the Head of R&D and Service at Beijing Shengaowang Network Technology Co., Ltd from September 2012 to July 2014. Fred's career started at SAP as a Senior Product Manager from July 2005 to September 2012, where they focused on collaboration, B2B, B2C, and B2A solutions. Fred also worked at Delphi as a Supply Manager from March 2004 to July 2005, and at CIMIC as a Designer from October 2003 to March 2004. Fred began their career as a Software Engineer at Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd from September 2001 to October 2003.

Fred Chen attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Fred returned to Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2004 to 2007 to study Software Engineering, although the specific degree obtained during this period is not mentioned. From 2011 to 2019, Fred Chen pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management Science at Shanghai University.
