Tómas Guðmundsson has a diverse work experience in the field of product management, programming, and web development. Tómas currently holds the position of Product Manager at Kaptio since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Owner at LS Retail - POS and business management software solutions from March 2021 to January 2022. Tómas also gained experience as a Product Owner and Programmer at Valka ehf from January 2018 to March 2021. Tómas worked as a Web Developer at DR - Danmarks Radio from August 2015 to December 2017. Previously, Tómas served as the Lead Backend Developer at html24.dk from February 2013 to August 2015, and as a Student Programmer at the IT University of Copenhagen from August 2011 to October 2012. Their earliest work experience was as a Web Programmer at Snertill from January 2007 to January 2010.

Tómas Guðmundsson earned a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Háskóli Íslands from 2006 to 2009. In 2008, they also attended Concordia University for a short period, where they studied Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, and Software Engineering. Tómas then pursued further education at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science.

Apart from their formal education, Tómas Guðmundsson has obtained certifications as an Umbraco Certified Developer from Umbraco in May 2014.
