Phil Newsom is an experienced media production professional with a diverse background in filmmaking and production management. Currently serving as the Director of Media Production for Kaplan since June 2022, Phil also operates as a Producer and Founder at Giant Hunter Media, where responsibilities include overseeing all physical production and development of features, shorts, and VR content since 2015. Previous roles include Head of Production at MiLa Media (2018 - February 2023), Co-Founder and Producer of the DAMN! Film Series (2014 - 2016), Producer at Polyphony Creative (2014 - 2016), Co-Founder and Producer at ArtEffects Theatre Company (2009 - 2014), and Drama Specialist at Young Dancers in Repertory (2007 - 2012). Phil Newsom began a career in media and theatre as a Program Director for Colorado Educational Theatre (2000 - 2006) and holds a B.A. in Theatre in Education from SUNY Empire State College.
