Michel Groothuizen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and governance across various sectors. Currently serving as the Voorzitter Raad van Bestuur at Kansspelautoriteit since July 2024, Michel has held multiple significant roles, including Raadsheer Plaatsvervanger at Gerechtshof Arnhem Leeuwarden since April 2009 and Plv Hoofddirecteur at Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen from January 2020 to June 2024. Previous positions include Algemeen Directeur at Nederlands Instituut voor Forensische Psychiatrie en Psychologie and Statenlid for Provincie Utrecht.
