Kathy Lefler is the Wichita Journalism Collaborative Coordinator at the Kansas Leadership Center since November 2023, focusing on enhancing journalism quality and collaboration in Wichita. Previously, Kathy served as the Communications and Advocacy Manager at Wichita Habitat for Humanity from May 2015 to November 2023, managing various communication initiatives. Kathy's experience also includes roles as the Director of Communications at East Heights United Methodist from February 2012 to April 2015 and Director of Lay Ministry from December 2001 to February 2012, where volunteer programs and outreach were coordinated. Earlier in Kathy's career, positions included News Editor at The Wichita Eagle and Los Angeles Times Washington Post News Service Inc. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Friends University.
