Jaap Vogelaar is a seasoned professional in the field of environmental biotechnology, currently serving as the Lead Technology Expert and Manager of the BioBizz Hub at Paques BV since June 2015. In this role, Jaap Vogelaar is responsible for identifying and supporting new start-ups while advancing technologies for wastewater treatment and resource recovery. Previously, Jaap Vogelaar held various leadership positions, including Head of Research and Development and Head of Core Technologies at Paques, where responsibilities included product strategy development and intellectual property protection. Experience also includes roles as a Senior Design Engineer at Orgaworld B.V., designing organic waste treatment facilities, and as a Senior Designer of Biogas Systems at Rhodia. Earlier career highlights include consulting for biogas plants at Ecofys BV and process technology specialization at Paques. Jaap Vogelaar's academic background includes a cum laude MSci degree and a PhD from Wageningen University, focusing on environmental biotechnology.
