Seija Salomäki has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Seija started their career as a Department Secretary at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan from September 1988 to August 1989. Seija then worked as an Export Secretary Trainee at Nokia from February 1990 to January 1991, followed by a role as a Department Secretary at Atria Plc from May 1991 to August 1991. Seija briefly worked as an English and Swedish Language Teacher at Pellon kunta from September 1991 to May 1992.

Salomäki transitioned to the sales field, starting as a Salesperson at Marttiini Oy from February 1994 to April 2004. Seija then worked as a B2B Salesperson at Puukeidas Oy from July 2004 to April 2009. After that, they were employed as a Media Salesperson at Lounais-Lappi /Kaleva from April 2009 to June 2013.

Their next position was at Alma Media Corporation as a Media Salesperson from June 2013 to March 2018. Seija played a critical role in advertising sales at the company during this time. Finally, they joined Kaleva Media in April 2018 and has since worked as a Sales Manager. In October 2019, they were promoted to the position of Account Manager, where they currently hold the position.

Seija Salomäki has a variety of educational experiences. Seija obtained a Markkinointiviestinnän ammattitutkinto degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from SASKY in 2018-2019. In 1989-1991, they attended Vaasan aikuiskoulutuskeskus/Commercial Studies and obtained a degree in Export Secretary. Seija then pursued Export Sales at Vientikoulutussäätiö/Fintra in 1992-1993. Prior to these, they completed their Ylioppilasmerkonomi degree in Marketing at Commercial College from 1986 to 1988. Their earlier education includes graduating from Nurmon lukio with a Ylioppilas degree in 1984.
