Patricia McCarter has over 20 years of experience in the communications and media industry. Patricia began their career in 1992 as a reporter, photographer, and editor for various newspapers. In 2000, they began working as a reporter for The Huntsville Times, covering topics such as business, politics, elections, technology, veterans' issues, defense, aerospace, and social issues. In 2010, they became an Instructional Systems Designer at General Dynamics Mission Systems. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Director of Communications at the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County, where they were responsible for executing an image development program to support the Chamber's role in economic development. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Community Development Planner at the City of Huntsville, AL, where they coordinated data gathering for the City's Consolidated Plan. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Industry Content Manager at Kahua.
Patricia McCarter received a Bachelor's Degree in Photojournalism and English from The University of Southern Mississippi.
