Chantill Kahler Royer's work experience begins with their role as Chief Financial Officer at Kahler Automation, starting in April 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Bolton & Menk as a Water Resources Engineer from October 2003 to June 2016, where they were responsible for developing, reviewing, and coordinating final designs, as well as preparing environmental review documents and feasibility studies. Before Bolton & Menk, they worked as a Project Engineer at CH2M HILL Hanford, Inc. from May 2000 to August 2003. In this role, they focused on nuclear reactor waste site remediation design at the Department of Energy's Hanford Site in Washington. Chantill had also passed their Engineer-in-Training exam in 1997 and the Professional Engineer's exam in 2002. Chantill's earlier experience includes working as an Engineer at Barker Lemar Companies from June 1999 to April 2000.

Chantill Kahler Royer completed their education at various institutions. Chantill earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University in the period of 1992 to 1997. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering at the same institution from 1997 to 1999. Furthermore, they obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration and Management, specializing in General Business Administration, from Minnesota State University, Mankato, between 2015 and 2018. Alongside their academic achievements, Chantill also holds several professional certifications and licenses. Chantill was awarded the Professional Engineer (PE) designation by the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID and the Iowa Engineering and Land Surveying Examining Board in January 2004. Additionally, they obtained the LEED AP Neighborhood Development certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in October 2006 and the Professional Engineer (PE) credential from the Washington State Department of Licensing in June 2002.
