Ron Coffman

Ron Coffman has a strong background in sales, particularly in the truck industry. Ron started their career as a Salesman-Municipal Specialist at Steel City Ford Trucks in 1986. Ron then worked as a Sales Engineer at Summerfield Truck Company from 1987 to 1992 and at Great Lakes Peterbilt-GMC from 1992 to 1994. Ron continued their career as a General Sales Manager at Great Lakes Peterbilt-GMC Truck from 1995 to 2006 and at Truck City of Gary, Inc. from 2007 to 2009. Ron then became the Director of Sales at Trans United, Inc. from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013, Ron held the position of Regional Sales Director at JX Peterbilt. Ron then worked as the General Sales Manager at JX Peterbilt-Indianapolis for a temporary assignment from January to March 2014. Since April 2014, Ron has been serving as the Vice President of Fleet Sales at JX Truck Center.

Ron Coffman has a diverse education history with a focus on sales training and knowledge in the trucking industry. In 1997, they completed the Sales Manager Training program at Peterbilt Motors Corp. In 1998, they attended GMC Truck and received training on How to Succeed in Fleet Sales. In 2000, they obtained a certificate of completion in Fan Drive Service from Borg Warner and completed the GM Access - Medium Duty program at Learning Tree International-Chicago. In 2004, they gained knowledge in truck sales by attending the 357 vs. Mack course at Peterbilt Motors. In 2007-2008, they achieved the Freightliner Professional Masters Sales Certification with a focus on Premium Class 8 vehicles at Freightliner. In 2008, they received a certificate of completion as a Certified Sales Consultant from Sterling Trucks, followed by a similar certification from Western Star in 2009. Moving on, in 2013, Ron completed the Peterbilt Model 579 Sales Class, focusing on the Model 579. In 2014, they attended the Models 579/567 Sales Class at Peterbilt Motors. In 2015, they pursued various training programs at Hino Trucks, including Marketing Resources, Biodiesel Training, Customer Satisfaction, Competitive Comparison (Hino vs. Freightliner), 15MY Enhancements, HinoCare, and Hino InSight. Moreover, they participated in the Refuse Update Seminar 2015 at Peterbilt Motors, dedicated to the Refuse Truck Market. Most recently, in 2018, Ron completed the PX-7 Engine Sales Training and the PX-9 and ISL-G Engine Sales Training at Cummins Engines, focusing on PACCAR/Cummins engines.
