Deane Moore is an accomplished actuary and business leader with a robust career spanning over three decades in the financial services sector. Currently serving as CEO of Just Retirement Life (South Africa) Ltd since November 2014, Deane has held significant roles including Marketing Actuary at Momentum, where the focus was on Employee Benefits Investments and Annuities, and Head of Corporate Development at Friends Provident, leading mergers and acquisitions and supporting Group Strategy development. Prior experience includes working as a Principal Consultant at PwC in actuarial and insurance management and as General Manager of Financial Solutions at Metropolitan, where involvement included founding the Metropolitan Employee Benefits division and designing South Africa’s first inflation-linked annuity. Academically, Deane holds a Fellowship in Actuarial Science from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a Bachelor of Business Science, specializing in Actuarial Science, from the University of Cape Town.
