Brad Nelson has extensive work experience in the field of quality and regulatory operations. Brad currently holds the position of Vice President of Quality at JustFoodForDogs since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Basic American Foods from 2016 to 2022, where they served as the Director of Quality & Regulatory Operations and later took on additional responsibilities for logistics, warehousing, and customer service. Before that, Brad was employed at The Kraft Heinz Company as a Quality Systems Manager from 2013 to 2016. Brad also worked at Kellogg Company from 2006 to 2013, where they held various roles including Quality & Food Safety Manager, Food Safety Manager, and Quality Supervisor. Their earliest work experience was at Dean Foods, where they served as the Quality Assurance Manager for Meadow Gold Dairy from 2002 to 2006.
Brad Nelson earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Biotechnology from Southeast Community College from 1998 to 2000. Brad then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Brad has obtained several certifications including Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ - World Headquarters in June 2015, International Certified Food Safety Manager from the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals in May 2013, Certified HACCP Manager from NSF in November 2010, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner also from NSF in November 2010.
