Steve Wanta is a seasoned professional in the field of microfinance and social entrepreneurship, currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of JUST Community since January 2016, where the focus is on enhancing global microfinance efficiency and impact for entrepreneurs in the United States. Wanta is also a Co-Founder of Impact Hub Austin, promoting the social enterprise ecosystem, and previously held the role of Global Program Director for Whole Planet Foundation from 2006 to 2015, overseeing a $53 million portfolio of poverty alleviation programs across 60 countries. Additional experience includes Co-Founder of Center61, which supports social entrepreneurs, and volunteer service with the Peace Corps, focusing on agricultural business development. Wanta began a career at Unisys, leading business development efforts with notable success, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems and International Business from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
