Robert Ward's work experience begins in 2005 as a Computer/ITV Assistant at East Central College, where they were responsible for computer maintenance, interactive television maintenance, software/security updates, PC hardware upgrades, and networking. Robert also educated students and faculty on the use of technology.

In 2006, they worked as an Online Editor at The Missouri Miner, creating and maintaining a website using the Joomla content management system for the online edition of a weekly college newspaper.

From 2007 to 2008, Robert worked as a Web Developer at eshots, Inc.

Starting in 2008, they worked at Beck Automation as a Computer Engineer. In this role, they helped create software for industrial controls, using real-time C and C++ code. Robert also implemented the Ethernet/IP industrial communications protocol and used Perl and JavaScript to create a production management system for metalworking shops.

Since 2012, Robert has been the Founder/Engineer at Juristat, where they manage a team responsible for data collection, processing, cleaning, and storage for legal analysis products. Robert has built automated systems and tools, utilizing technologies such as Mesos, Docker, MongoDB, and MySQL running on AWS to process large amounts of data in a fault-tolerant and reliable manner. Additionally, they have created user-friendly tools for domain experts to correct and clean data efficiently.
