Charlie Day has had a long and varied career in the corporate world. In 2021, they began their role as Chief Executive Officer at Jupiter Ionics. In 2020, they were a Board Member at ANDHealth, a Mentor and Investor at Moonshot, and a Board Member at MCRI AllergyPal. From 2016 to 2020, they were the CEO of the Office of Innovation and Science Australia. From 2011 to 2016, they were a Board Member and Member of the Translation & Commercialisation Committee at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, a Project Director for The Carlton Connect Initiative and a Consultant for Innovation at The University of Melbourne, and a Board Member at Bionic Vision Technologies. In 2010, they were a Board Member at Oral Health CRC. From 2002 to 2011, they were the General Manager/CEO at Melbourne Ventures.
Charlie Day completed a BE (Hons) and BA in Chemical Engineering and Classics respectively from the University of Melbourne between 1989 and 1993. Charlie then went on to pursue a D.Phil in Engineering from the University of Oxford between 1993 and 1997. In 2008, they attended an Executive Education Course in Corporate Finance at INSEAD.
