Zeying Hamalainen is an experienced professional in the publishing and design industries, currently serving as an Associate Editor for YA and Adult Crossover Books at Junior Library Guild since June 2016, where responsibilities include negotiating contracts and conducting cost-benefit analyses. Prior roles include Assistant Editor and Editorial Assistant at the same organization, focusing on manuscript evaluation and editorial processes. Zeying has also worked in various capacities at North Plains Public Library, School Library Journal, and participated in internships related to archiving and design. Zeying holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from Parsons School of Design and completed a User Experience Design program at Designlab.
