Mike Rarick

Engineering Manager, Growth at JumpCloud

Mike Rarick has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Mike is currently an Engineering Manager, Growth at JumpCloud, leading three scrum teams in the Growth Engineering Department. In this role, they focus on enhancing JumpCloud and empowering teams towards continuous improvement and the use of growth engineering techniques.

Before joining JumpCloud, Mike was the Founder/Developer of Rare-Software, where they presumably worked on software development projects. Prior to that, they served as an Engineering Director at Avast Software, overseeing engineering for the Avast Business CloudCare product. During their tenure at Avast, Mike managed all engineering aspects and explored opportunities for software development.

Earlier in their career, Mike worked as an Enterprise Architect at AVG Technologies, representing the AVG Business (SMB) Center of Excellence on the Enterprise Architecture team. Mike developed and maintained domain architectures and governed architecture decisions across programs and countries. Additionally, they were a Senior Architect at AVG, leading a team of developers in producing AVG CloudCare, a cloud-based product for small business computer management.

Before joining AVG, Mike served as the Director of Network Applications at Bsecure Technologies, Inc., where they led a development team in producing Bsecure SecureSpot, a cloud-based Internet filtering product.

Mike's earliest work experience was as a Program Manager and Principal Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation, where they managed programs and budgets for photogrammetric tools used by the Department of Defense. Mike also led a team in developing and marketing commercial software products.

Lastly, Mike worked as a Senior Software Engineer at CardioNow, Inc., contributing to the design and implementation of a secure Internet-based storage and display system for cardiac data. Mike was the primary developer of CardioNow WebSend and WebView applications.

Mike Rarick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the United States Air Force Academy. Mike also has a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Wright State University.
