Lenko Donchev has extensive work experience as a software engineer, with their most recent role being as a Senior Software Engineer at JumpCloud since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Teleport from September 2020 to March 2021, where they served as a Backend Software Engineer. Lenko was also a Senior Software Engineer at Riverside Insights from March 2018 to April 2020 and at ShopperTrak from November 2016 to March 2018. Lenko has also worked at top companies such as Bank of America, CME Group, Incredible Technologies, Dobrosoft, and Code Assistance, holding various roles and contributing to the development of different software systems and applications.

Lenko Donchev obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from MU "Panaiot Volov" Bulgaria, from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) with Practice Tests from Udemy in January 2021 and the CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in March 2021. Some of their other certifications include Exploratory Data Analysis, Machine Learning, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera in December 2014, and Foundations of Software Security and Software Security - Attack and Defense from Cigital, Inc in October 2014. Lenko has also completed various other courses and certifications in programming, software development, and artificial intelligence from institutions such as LeanKanban University, Udemy, edX, SpringSource University, and Coursera.
