John Mann began their work experience as an Intern at Adaptec in May 2007. From August 2008 to September 2015, they worked as a Systems Storage Engineer at LSI, an Avago Technologies Company. Following that, they joined VMware in September 2015 and held various roles including Technical Support Engineer II - System Operations, Technical Support Engineer II - Site Recovery Manager, Technical Support Engineer II - Networking, and Senior Technical Support Engineer. In April 2020, they started working at JumpCloud as an Implementation Engineer.

John Mann obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management Information Systems, with a focus on General Management Information Systems, from the University of Central Florida from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from the same university from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, John also obtained several certifications. John achieved the CCNA and CCNA Security certifications from Cisco in October 2017 and obtained the VMware Certified Professional 6.5 - Data Center Virtualization certification from VMware in August 2018.
