Jason Burgess has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Jason is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at JumpCloud. Before joining JumpCloud, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer at the same company.

Prior to JumpCloud, Jason served as the President of Justified Solutions, where they were responsible for the development of SFS Pro, a specialized application for Colorado Family Law firms. Jason also served as the Architect and Lead Developer for the company.

Before Justified Solutions, Jason held various roles at Comcast, including Sr. Director - IP Video Architecture, Principal Engineer, and Lead Engineer for the IP video content origination team. Jason played a crucial role in the development of Comcast's IP video delivery solutions, including transcoding, fragmentation, and HTTP video delivery.

Earlier in their career, Jason worked at Lockheed Martin, where they served as a Lead Software Engineer in the Signals Reconnaissance Program. Jason also worked as a Staff Software Engineer, leading the development of surveillance and warning products. Additionally, they were involved in the development of logistics support applications and served as a Staff System Administrator.

Jason's diverse experience includes expertise in technologies such as JEE, Sybase ASE, Solaris, DEC Tru64, and various video delivery technologies like Microsoft Smooth, Adobe HDS, Apple HLS, and DASH.

Jason Burgess completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, from 1995 to 1999. Jason then pursued further education at the University of Colorado Denver, where they obtained their Master of Science in Computer Science from 2005 to 2008.
