Alberto Solaro del Borgo has a diverse range of work experience in the humanitarian and impact investment sectors. Alberto began their career as an intern at INTERSOS - Humanitarian Organization, where they provided operational support and logistics for various programs. Alberto then joined the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as an intern, taking on roles such as RRM Manager, Emergency Coordinator, and Regional Emergency Coordinator. In these positions, they implemented emergency response strategies, coordinated with governmental authorities and the UN system, and trained and developed emergency response teams.

In 2014, Alberto also served as an intern at Jumanji Studio, a community of advisors, experts, and investors supporting impact entrepreneurs. In 2017, they became a Board Member (Insitor Seed) at Insitor, a pilot impact fund financing social businesses in South and Southeast Asia.

More recently, Alberto worked at the United Nations as a Disaster Risk Management Specialist (JPO). In this role, they supported the UN Resident Coordinator in coordinating humanitarian responses, contributed to disaster risk reduction and resilience efforts, and assisted with COVID-19 contingency plans and vaccine deployment.

Alberto then pursued a Master's degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, completing their studies from 2015 to 2016. Prior to their higher education, they earned an Italian High School Diploma/Maturità scientifica from Istituto Leone XIII, which spanned from 2005 to 2009.
