Carsten Menke, CFA has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Carsten started their career at DWS Investments, where they completed internships in sales and sales service, as well as fund management. Carsten then joined Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. KGaA as an Alternative Investments Analyst and Junior Portfolio Manager, where they focused on commodity analysis and allocation. Later on, Carsten joined Julius Baer as a Commodity Strategist, where they conducted bottom-up analysis of commodity markets, created supply and demand models, and provided investment advice to clients. In their most recent role at Julius Baer, Carsten served as the Head of Next Generation Research, implementing the Next Generation investment philosophy and identifying sustainable growth opportunities.
Carsten Menke, CFA completed their undergraduate education from 2002 to 2007 at the University of Cologne, where they obtained a Dipl.-Kauffmann degree in Banking, Finance, and Taxes. In 2008, they pursued further studies at the EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, specializing as a Commodity Advisor (EBS/BAI). Most recently, in 2019, Carsten Menke enrolled in the IMD TLP 2.0 Leadership Programme at IMD, focusing on Organizational Leadership.
