Erik Herrmann has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering and communications field. Erik began their career as an Engineering Intern at Welch Allyn in 2005. Erik then worked as an Engineering Intern at both Entergy and HSMM in 2006. In 2007, Herrmann joined AECOM as a Lead Communications Engineer, where they provided consulting services for RF system design and implementation. Erik worked at AECOM until 2014. Herrmann then joined Raytheon as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they performed various engineering tasks such as bid preparation, software testing, and customer support. Erik also led efforts to research and identify interfaces to non-LMR systems. In 2016, Herrmann joined JPS Interoperability Solutions, Inc. as a Senior Systems Engineer, and later progressed to become the Director of Systems Engineering. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at JPS Interoperability Solutions, Inc.
Erik Herrmann obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Erik then pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Virginia Tech, graduating in 2014. In August 2014, Erik obtained the Professional Engineer certification from Maryland, and in June 2012, they obtained the same certification from Virginia.
