Liam Baker possesses extensive experience in change management and operations within high-profile organizations. Currently serving as Head of Change at the British Council since 2020, Liam leads transformation efforts in professional services aimed at enhancing cultural relations and educational opportunities. Previous roles include Head of Operations at the British Council, where a new operating model was established focusing on policy, process, technology, and personnel, and Programme Manager at Tesco, where the Programme Office was created to foster an ethical and sustainable supply base. As a Business Change Manager at Tesco, Liam implemented change across multiple global hubs. Earlier career highlights include Programme Manager and Lead Product Manager at City & Guilds Group, where initiatives focused on performance improvement and product development, as well as consultancy roles to enhance internal processes. Liam’s background includes a graduate placement with Innovate UK and an internship with Shell, alongside an Economics BSc (Hons) degree from the University of York.
