Dan Boatright is a Geography and Geology Teacher at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College since August 2018 and serves as a Councillor for Worcestershire County Council since May 2021, as well as a District Councillor for Wychavon District Council since May 2019. Boatright also holds the position of Principal Examiner for Eduqas, overseeing the new GCE AS exams. Previously, significant roles include Chair of the Earth Science Teachers Association, where promotion of Earth Sciences education occurred, and Subject Leader for Geology and Archaeology at Worcester Sixth Form College. Additional experiences include moderating geology practical exams for WJEC/CBAC, examining for AQA, and coordinating Archaeology, Ancient History, and Geology courses at The Isle of Wight College. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology from the University of Liverpool, along with various degrees and a PGCE in education.
