Julie Hurst has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Julie is currently the Director of Merchandise at Joseph-Beth Booksellers since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Pottery at Rookwood Pottery from July 2020 to October 2022, overseeing all aspects of the Pottery business.

Before their role at Rookwood Pottery, Julie worked at Service Systems Associates, where they held multiple positions. From May 2015 to April 2020, they served as a Senior Buyer, responsible for procurement at various locations including Cincinnati Zoo, Cincinnati Museum Center, Riverbanks Zoo, Detroit Zoo, Louisville Zoo, Wonders of Wildlife Museum & Aquarium, Maryland Zoo, and the Minnesota Zoo. Prior to this, they held the position of Regional Buyer from November 2011 to May 2015 and Retail Buyer from July 2010 to November 2011 at the same company.

Julie's earlier experiences include working as the Merchandise Manager at the National Archives Foundation from March 2008 to July 2010, Assistant Retail Manager at the National Building Museum from February 2007 to March 2008, Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant at the International Spy Museum from September 2005 to January 2007, and Museum Shop Floor Coordinator at the Cincinnati Art Museum from January 2001 to August 2005.

Julie Hurst completed their education at the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business from 1999 to 2003. Julie obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Marketing/ International Business. Before attending university, Julie Hurst attended Walnut Hills High School from 1995 to 1999. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certification in Shopify Ecommerce for Marketers from LinkedIn in June 2020.
