Johan van Aswegen has extensive work experience in the logistics and distribution field. Johan is currently employed as the Head of Logistics and Distribution at Jonsson Workwear since May 2022. Before that, Johan worked at Imperial Logistics from 2015 to 2022, holding various roles including General Manager and Executive: Warehouse Expert. Prior to Imperial Logistics, Johan worked at Milling Logistics (Pty) Ltd from 1998 to 2015, where they gained experience as an Inland Regional Manager, Depot Manager, KZN Regional Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, Transport Coordinator, and Assistant Depot Manager/Admin Controller. Throughout their career, Johan has demonstrated competence in overseeing warehouse operations, managing budgets, coordinating personnel, and ensuring seamless operations in high-pressure environments. Johan's experience also includes involvement in tender processes, new business costing, and submissions.
Johan van Aswegen began their education by completing their matriculation at Voortrekker High School from 1991 to 1994. Johan then attended Damelin in 2002 to study Storekeeping & Stock Control. In 2003, they enrolled at Varsity College to pursue a degree in Project Management. In 2008, Johan attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika for Practical Bookkeeping. Johan furthered their education at the Imperial Logistics Academy in 2014, where they completed the Management Development Program and the Management Development Programme - 59201 National Certificate: Generic Management. Finally, from 2015 to 2020, Johan studied at the Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ILSCM) to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Supply chain and Logistics management.
