Alex Buchans is a seasoned Senior GIS Analyst with extensive experience in geographic information systems, currently employed at Jones Edmunds since June 2020. Prior roles include senior and regular GIS analyst positions at the City of Arvada, and a GIS specialist position with the City of Raleigh Municipal Government. Earlier experience encompasses roles at NW Natural, Vista Irrigation District, and the City of Encinitas as well as a GIS internship at the U.S. Geological Survey. Alex Buchans holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Oregon, earned from 2001 to 2005.
