Steve Gill has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Steve is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations at Jonell Systems since June 2022. Previously, they worked at Howmet Aerospace, where they held several positions. From July 2019 to June 2022, they served as the Director of Operations and Plant Manager Installation Tools. Before that, they were the Manufacturing Manager of Blind Fastener Products from January 2015 to July 2019. Steve also worked as the Global Continuous Improvement Manager from July 2008 to December 2014 and as the Continuous Improvement Manager from July 2005 to July 2008. Steve has extensive experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operations management.
Prior to their tenure at Howmet Aerospace, Steve worked at NDC Infrared Engineering as a Product Marketing Specialist for the Food and Beverage Industries from October 1993 to June 1997. Steve also worked at GEC-Marconi as a Research Engineer for Defense from September 1991 to October 1993.
Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated expertise in operations management, continuous improvement, manufacturing, and technical support. Steve has successfully led teams, implemented process improvements, and achieved operational excellence.
Steve Gill has a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors degree in Material Science with Microelectronics from the University of Liverpool. Prior to that, they attended Burton Borough School in Newport, UK, where they obtained Ten O Levels. Steve also attended New College in Telford, UK, where they earned Three A Levels in Electronic Systems, Physics, and Mathematics with Mechanics. In addition to their education, Steve Gill has obtained several certifications, including Lean/ABS Certification Connections Level 2, Lean/ABS Certification Flow Paths Level 3, and Lean/ABS Certification Stability Level 1 from Alcoa in June 2013. Steve has also obtained the CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) - Basics of Supply Chain Management certification from APICS The Association for Operations Management in January 2008.
