Genesis Cortez serves as a Senior Business Immigration Analyst at Fragomen since August 2021, where previous experience includes the role of Business Immigration Analyst. In the political arena, Genesis has held positions such as Operations Associate for Jon Ossoff's U.S. Senate campaign since 2020, District Field Organizer for the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and Field Organizer with Organizing Together 2020 and Organizing Corps 2020, the latter involving a rigorous training bootcamp in organizing techniques. Additionally, Genesis was the Vice President of Communications for the University of Arizona's Fraternity and Sorority Programs from December 2018 to January 2020, managing social media efforts, engaging over 5,000 Greek women, and initiating the #empowerher empowerment movement. Genesis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Arizona, earned in 2020.
