Jim Baranak is an experienced carpenter currently working with Joliet Park District since August 2021. Prior to this, Jim was self-employed as a real estate investor from 2014 to September 2021. Jim's earlier experience includes working as an intermodal equipment operator for BNSF Railway from June 2012 to May 2014, where responsibilities included supervising crane operations and loading rail cars. From April 2003 to October 2010, Jim served as a journeyman carpenter at Linn Mathes, specializing in rough and finish carpentry, overseeing apprentices, and becoming OSHA certified as a scaffold erector. Jim graduated from a carpenter training program in 2007 and attended Joliet Junior College from 1999 to 2001.
