Kosuke Iwai, Ph.D., is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in microfluidics and bioengineering. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Triplebar since September 2020, Kosuke leads a team in developing high-throughput screening systems aimed at enhancing sustainable bioproducts. Prior to this role, Kosuke held various positions including Scientist II and Microfluidics Engineer at the Joint BioEnergy Institute, where projects focused on optimizing biosynthetic pathways and developing anaerobic transformation processes. Kosuke's experience also includes postdoctoral research at Sandia National Laboratories and microfluidics engineering consulting for mFluiDx. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a strong background in automated microfluidic systems for diagnostics and therapeutics, Kosuke has contributed significantly to the fields of biosensors and bioengineering.
