Jenny Onley is a Postdoctoral Researcher at both the Joint BioEnergy Institute and Sandia National Laboratories since March 2021, focusing on technologies for rapid characterization of biomass-active enzymes. Previously, Jenny served as a Development Scientist at Beckman Coulter from October 2018 to March 2021, where responsibilities included designing experiments and reviewing literature. As a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology at Tennessee Wesleyan University from August 2017 to May 2018, Jenny taught various biology courses and conducted laboratory sections. Jenny has also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee from August 2011 to July 2017, involved in literature summarization, hypothesis generation, and training students. Earlier experiences include a Teaching Assistant position at Whitworth University and participation in a Research Experience for Undergraduates at The University of Iowa. Jenny holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, obtained in 2017, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Whitworth University, earned in 2011.
