Vice President: Life-cycle, Economics, And Agronomy Division (lead) at Joint BioEnergy Institute

Corinne Scown is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as Senior Scientist and Deputy Division Director for Research in the Energy Analysis & Environmental Impacts Division at Berkeley Lab since February 2012. Scown also holds the position of Co-Founder at Cyklos Materials and serves as Vice President for the Life-cycle, Economics, and Agronomy Division at the Joint BioEnergy Institute, which focuses on advanced biofuels research. Prior roles include Deputy Group Leader of the Sustainable Energy Systems group and a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley. Scown's academic background includes a PhD and M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering/Engineering & Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. Areas of expertise include scenario analysis, infrastructure modeling, uncertainty quantification, environmental life-cycle assessment, and transportation energy.
