Lori McGruder is a licensed mental health counselor and substance abuse therapist with extensive experience in the field. Lori established Lori McGruder Counseling in February 2020 and currently serves as the owner and counselor. In addition, Lori is a group facilitator at Forum, where support groups are led for men dealing with grief related to death, divorce, or addiction. Prior to these roles, Lori worked at Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinics, Inc. from July 2016 to February 2020 and at the Florida Department of Corrections from January 2003 to July 2016. Lori holds a Master of Education (MEd) and a Specialist of Education (EdS) in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Michigan State University.
