Sarah Lane Ritchie currently serves as a Program Officer for Philosophy & Theology at the John Templeton Foundation, a position held since September 2021. Prior to this role, Ritchie was a Lecturer in Theology & Science at The University of Edinburgh from August 2018 to August 2021 and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Science & Theology at the University of St Andrews from January 2017 to August 2018. Ritchie holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Science and Religion and a Master of Science (MSc) in the same field from The University of Edinburgh, as well as a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Princeton Theological Seminary. Ritchie completed a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Religion at Spring Arbor University.
