Rhea Stringer

Research Assistant at John Innes Centre

Rhea Stringer has a diverse work experience background. Rhea started their career at Next Ltd, where they worked as a Sales Assistant from May 2013 to May 2015. Rhea then gained further experience as an Open Day Helper at Unitemps in June 2017 and August 2017. Rhea then transitioned into research roles, working at The Francis Crick Institute as a BRF Research Officer from October 2018 to January 2020. Rhea ensured the welfare and husbandry of animals, monitored their health, and adhered to relevant legislation. Rhea continued their research career at the University of Cambridge from February 2020 to April 2022, serving as a Senior Research Laboratory Technician. In this role, they provided direct support to the Mallucci group's research, managed animal colonies, performed clinical observations, and assisted with experimental protocols. Currently, they are a Research Assistant at the John Innes Centre, focusing on establishing imaging techniques for model plant and bacterial samples within the Bioimaging Facility.

Rhea Stringer completed their education at Canterbury Christ Church University from 2014 to 2018. Rhea obtained a BSc degree in Animal Science with a Foundation Year, specializing in Animal Sciences. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, Rhea attended South Essex College of Further and Higher Education, where they achieved a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. Additionally, Rhea has obtained several certifications, including "Research Completion" from WILDWOOD TRUST in April 2018, "Ecological Surveys and Techniques (QCF)" from South Essex College of Further and Higher Education in July 2013, and "Safe Learning In The Workplace (QCF)" from South Essex College of Further and Higher Education in November 2012.
