Brian Wilkinson has a long and varied work experience in the semiconductor industry. Brian started their career in 1984 as a Sales Executive at Fairchild, now part of ON Semiconductor. In 1987, they moved to National Semiconductor as a Major Account Executive. Brian then transitioned to Complementary Technologies in 1992 as Sales Director. In 1994, they were Acting Managing Director/Owner of Mtroniks Limited/BMA Electronics Limited /Prism Audio Limited UK. In 1999, they moved to FUJI ELECTRIC EUROPE GMBH as Sales and Marketing Manager Discrete and IC Europe. In 2007, they joined Microsemi Corporation as Sr. Director Applications Engineering Power Discrete and Modules. Brian was then promoted to Sr. Director Strategic Marketing & Applications Power Discrete and Modules and Sr. Director Product Lines, Applications & Product Marketing Hi-Rel Group. In 2018, they moved to Micro Commercial Components (MCC) as Director of Applications. Currently, they are Europe Sales Manager at Johanson Technology, Inc. and also a Consultant at Semiconductor Professional pursuing opportunities in Silicon and Wide Bandgap Power devices.
Brian Wilkinson has a long and varied educational history. In 1972, they attended Wyke Manor School in Bradford, England, where they earned 3 “A” Levels, 8 GCSE “O” Levels, and 3 CSE’s. From 1977 to 1980, they attended the University of Bradford, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Electronics and Semiconductor Physics. In 1981, they attended Colchester Institute of Technology, where they earned a Certificate in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, and Control Theory. Brian also attended Cranfield Institute of Technology that same year, where they completed a one-week intensive training on advanced thermal analysis and cooling techniques. In 1985, they attended K Sales Training, where they completed a course in Win-win, Preparation, Presentation, Compete, and Close. In 1988, they attended Wilson Learning, where they completed a course in Sales, Social Profiling, etc. In 2012, they attended Vervago Boston, where they completed a course in Precision Q&A. In 2014, they attended Management Team Training in Boston and Cranfield University, where they earned a Cranfield Institute of Technology degree. Finally, in 2015, they attended the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business, and in 2017, they attended the American Management Association in Boston, where they earned a Remote Team Leadership degree.
