Vishnu Teja Vithala has a diverse work experience spanning over 10 years. Vishnu Teja began their career in 2007 with internships at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd and Defence Research and Development Organisation. Afterward, they worked as a Barista at Mujo Cafe, where they took food and coffee orders and managed supplies.
In 2009, Vishnu became a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, collaborating with Ford Research and Advanced Engineering Division. Vishnu Teja'sresearch focused on the mixing physics in low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation systems, resulting in a publication.
Vishnu Teja then joined Chrysler Group LLC as a Powertrain Modeling and Simulation Engineer in 2010, where they worked until 2012. During this time, they contributed to the development of vehicle cooling systems and conducted engine thermal behavior evaluations.
From 2012 to 2015, Vishnu worked at Ricardo as a Project Engineer, specializing in thermal and fluid systems. Vishnu Teja'sresponsibilities included developing vehicle cooling system models, supporting cooling and lubrication system development activities, and assessing engine thermal behavior.
In 2012, Vishnu also worked at Chrysler as a Powertrain Thermal Controls Engineer until 2015. Vishnu Teja'swork involved managing powertrain thermal controls.
Vishnu then joined Boeing in 2015 as an Aerospace Mechatronic Systems Modeling, Simulation & Verification Engineer, where they supported model-based control system development activities for the 777x.
In 2017, Vishnu joined Joby Aviation as a Thermal Engineer, designing and building state-of-the-art thermal systems for cooling electric propulsion units. Vishnu Teja also integrated multi-body flight control actuator models into flight simulation frameworks and conducted system identification and stability analysis.
Currently, Vishnu holds the position of Staff Systems Engineering and Systems Safety at Joby Aviation, a role they began in November 2019.
Vishnu Teja Vithala obtained their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in the years 2004 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, Vishnu Teja Vithala has completed the "Commercial Aircraft Safety Assessment and 1309 Design Analysis" program at The University of Kansas in November 2019. Vishnu Teja also obtained a "Robotics and Autonomous Systems Graduate Certificate" from Stanford University, although the specific month and year were not provided.
