Phil Poletti has a solid work experience in the field of software engineering, with a focus on automation and infrastructure development.

Phil currently holds the role of Software Infrastructure and Automation Lead at Joby Aviation, leading automation development software. Phil joined this company in October 2022.

Prior to Joby Aviation, Phil worked at Boeing as a Software Engineer in the Autonomous & Collaborative Systems division from November 2018 to February 2021.

Phil also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Asynchrony Labs from February 2016 to November 2018.

Before that, Phil worked as a Senior Software Developer in Research & Development at MedAware Solutions from October 2014 to February 2016. Their role involved developing software for mobile healthcare applications.

Phil's earlier experiences include working as an Embedded Software Engineer and Test Equipment Engineer at Boeing from 2007 to 2014, focusing on avionics communication systems and software release development for weapon programs.

Furthermore, they worked as a Co-op Embedded Software Engineering intern at Boeing, both in the Weapons Support Programs division and in the Embedded Software-Hardware Engineering division.

Phil's education includes a stint as a Student Developer at Southern Illinois University from 2004 to 2006.

Phil Poletti earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a minor in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Phil attended from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis between 2008 and 2012. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Duolingo German Fluency, estimating an intermediate level, from Duolingo in August 2015.
