Devang Motwani

Senior Software Engineer at Joby Aviation

Devang Motwani has a diverse range of work experiences. Devang started their career at Kansas State University, where they worked as a Student Intern in 2013. Devang then joined Green Field Control System (I) Pvt Ltd as an Intern (Embedded) in 2014, where they focused on identifying bugs in C code and troubleshooting boards. In 2015, they became a Design Engineer (Embedded) at Green Field Control System, where they developed and analyzed motor drives using PID based control development and embedded systems software development.

Motwani then pursued higher education at George Mason University, where they held multiple roles. Devang served as a Research Assistant during the summer of 2017, focusing on the characterization of big data frameworks. Devang later became a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the fall of 2017 and the spring of 2018. As a Graduate Research Assistant, they furthered their work on big data frameworks, specifically studying their performance over hypervisors.

In 2018, Motwani joined Joby Aviation as a Software Engineer, where they contributed to software development. Devang eventually assumed the role of Software Lead in November 2021, demonstrating their growth and leadership in the field.

In addition to their formal education, Devang obtained certifications in "Programming Foundations: Data Structures" from LinkedIn in April 2018 and in "Internet of Things: How did we get here?" from Coursera in May 2017.
