James Hu started their work experience in 2009 as a Program Manager (Contract) at Microsoft. In 2010, they co-founded the ride-sharing service Wodache in China and led a team of engineers and marketers. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as the Head of Product at Groupon China, leading a product team and improving efficiency. In 2014, they founded and became the CEO of Jobscan.co, focusing on developing AI tools for job seekers. In 2014, they also worked as a Product Lead at Kabam. Later on, they became an investor in Boom Supersonic, TrialSpark, HomeCourt (NEX Team), and Humanly (humanly.io) in 2018 and 2021 respectively. Additionally, they became a partner at Predict Labs Ventures in 2019.
James Hu received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Systems and Finance from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business. James completed their studies between the years 2004 and 2007.
