Richard Wingate

Richard Wingate has a diverse work experience in academia and the neuroscience field. Richard is currently serving as a Professor of Developmental Neurobiology at the MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders since October 2021. Previously, they held positions at King's College London, starting as the Head of Anatomy from April 2016 to April 2021, and then becoming the Director of the Centre for Education, Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine from May 2021 to present. Additionally, Richard served as the Editor In Chief of BrainFacts.org at the Society for Neuroscience starting in January 2019.

Richard Wingate has a Master's degree in Academic Practice from King's College London, which they completed in 2013. Prior to that, they attained a DPhil in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford between 1987 and 1992. Richard began their university education by earning a BSc in Biology from The University of Manchester from 1983 to 1987.
